Emily McClanahan was born in Shawnee, Kansas. She received her undergraduate degree from Saint Luke’s College of Health Sciences with honors and her master’s degree from Saint Luke’s College of Health Sciences at Rockhurst University. Emily worked as a Registered Nurse for 5 years before starting in her role as a Nurse Practitioner; three of those years were spent working in GI. Emily is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Emily’s goal is to help provide her patients with the knowledge and education needed to make informed decisions regarding their disease processes. Her special interests include colon cancer screening and management of irritable bowel syndrome. She enjoys spending time outside with her husband and dog. Her and her husband are big fans of soccer, especially Manchester United.
