Joseph B. Eisenach, MD, is a board-certified Gastroenterologist dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to his patients.

Why Gastroenterology?

Dr. Eisenach was drawn to being a medical professional because it allowed him to combine his passion for science with a desire to serve others. He finds the relationships he builds with his colleagues, coworkers, and patients to be the most rewarding aspect of his practice.

Education and Training:

Dr. Eisenach earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 1982. He completed his internship and residency programs at the University of Nebraska Hospitals before pursuing a Gastroenterology/Hepatology Fellowship at the prestigious University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Following his fellowship, he held a faculty position as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center from 1989 to 1992.

Awards and Recognition:

Dr. Eisenach’s dedication to research and patient care has been recognized with past awards, including an NIH training grant and a research award from the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Professional Affiliations:

Dr. Eisenach is an active member of several leading medical organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Gastroenterological Association. He has also served as Medical Staff President of the Medical Center of Independence, demonstrating his commitment to leadership and quality care within the medical community.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Eisenach is a sports enthusiast who enjoys jogging and attending the theater.
