  After graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado, Dr. Clement earned his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1979. He completed his internship and residency at Wright-Patterson USAF Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, followed by a Gastroenterology Fellowship at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Clement has been in private practice since retiring from the United States Air Force in 1994 as the Chairman of Gastroenterology, Fellowship Program Director, and Chief Consultant to the USAF Surgeon General for Gastroenterology at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. He was Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland and a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Clement is Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.  He is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Clement enjoys direct patient care, cycling, singing and golf.
