Dr. Nguyen is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.  Most recently, Dr. Nguyen was with Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara, California as an attending physician in the division of Gastroenterology.  She believes that she has the best job in medicine, and enjoys dealing with the challenges posed by gastrointestinal medicine. Her practice philosophies include delivery of high quality care to patients on an individualized basis and empowering patients with education and open communication so that they can participate effectively in their care.  Professionally, her interests include colon cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Nguyen was born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam.  In 1996, she completed her medical education at the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine.  Dr. Nguyen then attended the University of Minnesota, School of Medicine for residency training. In 2002, she completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Nguyen is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Gastroenterology. On a personal note, Dr. Nguyen enjoys reading and traveling. In addition to English, she speaks Vietnamese fluently.
