About Thomas Shireman, M.D.
After attending the University of Missouri in Kansas City for medical school he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Oklahoma. He has been on faculty at the University of Oklahoma and later went into private practice in the Oklahoma City area in 1994. While in Oklahoma City, Dr. Shireman was the Chief of Staff at Midwest City Regional Medical Center. Dr. Shireman is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Shireman chose the medical profession because of his background in science and health issues. What he enjoys most in practice is helping patients

Dr. Shireman is so kind. I have unique issues and he understands and knows how to help me manage this. I'm so glad to have him on my team of Healthcare providers.
Not used to this kind of attention! My last colonoscopy was more of an assembly line concept. Was put on a gurney in a very long hallway to wait for my turn with about 15 other’s. Long wait too. Totally different experience with Dr. Shireman and his awesome staff. They answered questions then got me right in for procedure. Talked to Dr. and that’s all I remember. Haha Overall great experience at this office!!
They were very professional and kind. They didn’t realize it was my birthday on my procedure day until I verified my date of birth. They sing happy birthday to me as I was going under. It was very sweet.
First time I met Dr Shireman and I really liked him. He made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I will be seeing him for years.
I think everything went very good and smooth seems everyone was well trained in the job
